Please note that, due to funding limitations and capacity, our Veterans Emergency Fund is restricted to Outagamie, Winnebago, Calumet, Waupaca, and nearby Northeast Wisconsin Counties by exception.

Proper documentation must be provided

  • A copy of a DD214 showing discharged under conditions other than dishonorable and at least one day of Active Duty besides for training. Even if we cannot provide direct financial assistance to an applicant, we help connect all veterans who apply to other resources. Veterans who have a US Department of Veterans Affairs Service-Connected Disability and can provide documentation may also be considered.

  • Copies of bills for consideration.

  • We may recognize a person as a Veteran, who served the United States in a military capacity and were in combat or imminent threat of combat by two-thirds vote of the council as prescribed in our By-Laws. (Example: members of the Hmong community who served the United States in a military capacity in Vietnam or interpreters in Iraq, Afghanistan, etc.)

  • The Veterans Emergency Fund may provide funding for housing, utility payments, clothing, food, transportation, and other high-priority needs.  Assistance is paid directly to creditors.

  • This program serves veterans and their immediate family (spouse, un-remarried surviving spouse, child, or stepchild) who need emergency financial assistance in Outagamie, Winnebago, Calumet, Waupaca, and other nearby counties in Wisconsin by exception.

  • We partner with Tri-County Dental to provide a dental home for eligible veterans and their dependents with dental care.

    Qualifications to Receive Care

    1. You live in Calumet, Outagamie, or Winnebago County AND

    2. You are on Medicaid (BadgerCare/Forward Health) (but you do not have private insurance) OR

    3. You are Uninsured and Have Limited Household Income (Family income below 200% of federal poverty level AND you do NOT meet eligibility requirements for dental care through the VA (100% VA Service Connected).

    Program Highlights

    Treatments might include: dental cleanings, check-ups, exams, fillings, crowns, bridges, dentures, and emergency care at minimal cost.

    In collaboration with the Fox Valley Veterans Council:

    Co-pays are covered when care is initiated through the FVVC.

    Veterans choosing not to go through the FVVC can still access care at Tri-County Dental, but are charged a co-pay based on household income.
